Behind the Design | Future Nostalgic

In the summer of 2024, OSO IN LOVE had the opportunity to create a design concept for an editorial photo shoot for WEDPLAN La Crosse’s Wedding Planner & Guide magazine. Once again inspiration came from architectural and interior design. This time the inspiration for the design came from the Mid Century Modern style of architecture and interior design.

Palm Springs, California is home to a large number of Mid Century Modern homes and buildings. Most of these homes were built for the Hollywood elite in the 1950’s and 1960’s when the style was in it’s heyday. The color story for the concept was inspired by a set Mid Century Modern paint swatches found in a Palm Springs vintage store.

I had a ton of fun creating this design concept. It is my personal favorite design style and Palm Springs is one of my favorite vacation destination. I hope you enjoy!
